As late-night revelers opened the door to Amanda Bynes’ large but sparsely furnished NYC apartment for an impromptu party, they were shocked by what they discovered inside. Exclusive photos obtained by In Touch appear in this week’s issue, exposing the troubled star’s partying life.

Photos taken inside her apartment during a long night of partying reveal her disheveled living conditions, and Amanda herself atop a bare mattress, smoking a joint and obsessively refreshing her phone’s Twitter feed. She is also pictured applying her makeup and dancing (much like her infamous “getting-ready” Twitter video that went viral), with a strange man “dancing behind her, and smoking weed with her,” says “Joe” to In Touch, a photographer who was inside Amanda’s apartment that night, who doesn’t want his real name used.

“She probably gets so high that sometimes she won’t even leave her house,” claims photographer Giovanni Arnold, who was also at Amanda’s apartment that night along with “Joe.” “One minute she’s cool and down-to-earth. The next, she’s totally di fferent — indecisive, and she can’t hold a conversation,” he tells In Touch. “Mentally, she’s all over the place.”

Despite Amanda telling In Touch she doesn’t have a mental disorder or drink or smoke pot, Giovanni and “Joe” claim Amanda had plenty of marijuana in her apartment. “Weed was everywhere,” says Giovanni. “On the bed, all over the floor.” Giovanni also alleges she did cocaine when they were at her place, although Amanda denies it, telling In Touch, “They’re the ones into drugs, so they bring drugs, but I don’t do them.”

Drug claims aside, it would be hard for Amanda to deny the conditions in which she lives. “Her living room is basically empty,” describes “Joe.” Blinds hang on three windows near her bed, while the other windows are spray-painted black.

After her impromptu photo shoot, of which “Joe” says, “Her dress was tight and sheer and you could see her bra — she seemed to like that,” the party continued into the wee morning hours when Amanda kicked her guests out around 5 a.m.

Amanda Bynes has remained relatively under the radar lately — for her — which has her friends and family feeling optimistic about the 27-year-old’s future with one source exclusively telling RadarOnline.com, “She’s doing much better.”

The former Nickelodeon actress hasn’t been tweeting as much as she once used to and those close to Amanda say it’s because she’s been in a better headspace.

“Amanda’s been doing a lot better lately,” an insider told Radar.

“She’s always been a sweet, down to Earth girl, but just lost herself for a while. She’s slowly coming back to us.”

As RadarOnline.com was first to report, reconnecting with her parents was a huge first step for Amanda, even if it was only a phone call.

“Her parents are good people who are genuinely concerned for her,” the source previously said. “And Amanda misses them, so she finally called them up.”

According to one of the few people still close to Amanda, the old Amanda is slowly coming back.

“I see more of the old Amanda in her. She’s not acting quite so odd,” the source said.

“She seems to have a better grasp on herself lately and we all hope it sticks.”

There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Amanda Bynes.

She’s been making waves on Twitter for the last several months—sharing seductive selfies and showing off her dramatic new look— but there’s a lot to know about Amanda…and she’s setting the record straight.

8) A Thrill For Threads
She’s starting a fashion line! “I love Mary-Kate and Ashley’s clothing line, Elizabeth and James, and I love how Justin Bieber dresses. My line will be a mixture of sick styles, and it’s going to be for everybody,” she tells In Touch. Bonus— she’s creating a perfume line, too!

7) Songbird in the Making
Amanda, who “retired” from acting at the age of 24, is expanding her horizons. In addition to her fashion line, she plans to start a music career. “I love singing and I can’t wait to start working on an album. Right now, I’m getting in shape for all the photo shoots.”

6) Prince Charming Awaits
It’s no surprise Amanda’s got a major crush on rapper Drake, but the 27-year-old recently told In Touch exactly what she’s looking for in her dream guy. “My favorite kind of man is good-looking and smart,” adding that in five years, she hopes to be “happily married!”

Lynn And Rick Bynes: Desperate To Help Amanda

After reaching out to her estranged parents, Amanda Bynes has been trying to straighten up her act a little bit but an insider exclusively tells RadarOnline.com her family is still worried about her and plans to “catch her off guard” with a surprise visit to the Big Apple soon in hopes of helping her get her life back on track.

“Amanda’s parents are ecstatic that they were able to reconnect with her last week and they’re hoping it will last,” an insider revealed.

“A visit is planned, but they’ve purposely not told Amanda exactly when it will be because they want to catch her off guard and see how she’s living her day-to-day life in New York.”

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported , Amanda cut off most of her family and friends after her move from Los Angeles, but finally reached out and called her parents because she missed them.

It was the phone call and opportunity her parents were waiting for.

“They’re going to do everything they can to capitalize on the fact that she’s talking to them again,” the source continued.

“They know they have just this small window to help her. It’s not going to be like a formal intervention or anything, but they plan on getting her help.”

And according to a source close to Amanda, the 26-year-old former Nickelodeon actress has already been making effort to get her life in order.

“Amanda’s slowly been taking steps to get right with herself, and not tweeting so much has been one of them,” the source told Radar.

“She’s been making a conscious effort to focus on herself and not give the public quite so much to talk about.”
