Amanda Bynes is facing a lonely Valentine’s Day this year – she’s been dumped by her mystery lover just days before the romantic holiday. The Hairspray star has been regularly updating her Twitter.com page over the last few weeks to give hints about the new man in her life, revealing he is a musician in the public eye – but refusing to disclose his name.

She sent gossips into a spin after posting a message which divulged that her lover had lost out at the recent Grammy Awards, prompting speculation she’s been dating rapper Drake – which she subsequently denied.

And now the 23 year old is glad she never revealed her boyfriend’s identity – because the relationship ended this week.

In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page on Thursday, she writes, “If something doesn’t work out with the guy I like, then I guess it just wasn’t meant to be! You can’t FORCE relationships/love. If it’s meant to be, it will be!”

She adds, “Oh well! It was fun while it lasted. I’m over it. It’s a good thing I never said his name so I can pretend like it never happened! I will just block him out of my memory!”

The “Hairspray” star has been regularly updating her Twitter account to give hints about a new man in her life, and she prompted speculation of a romance with Drake with one message, which revealed her lover failed to win at the Grammy Awards last week.

She wrote, “The guy I love is the most talented person ever!!!!!! I’m irritated that a certain guy didn’t win certain awards. … He deserved them!!!”

Drake was nominated for two prizes at the 2010 ceremony but went home empty-handed.

Now the actress has taken to Twitter once again to rule out any romantic link with the “Best I Ever had” hit maker, writing, “FYI (for your information) I’ve never met Drake! We have a mutual friend but we haven’t met yet! So for some reason people think we’re dating but we’re not!”

Screen Gems has made a two-picture deal with Amanda Bynes.

The thesp will first co-star in the Will Gluck-directed comedy “Easy A,” and she and Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper will then craft a star vehicle for her second project.

Culpepper said that Bynes, who gained fame as star of Nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show,” has been on his radar for some time.

“She’s one of the few who can make that graceful transition from kid to adult star because she has such strong comic chops,” Culpepper said.

Scripted by playwright Bert V. Royal, “Easy A” stars Emma Stone as a high school student who is victimized by a false rumor that she lost her virginity, until she exploits the rumor mill for her own benefit and becomes wildly popular. Bynes has signed on to play a puritanical high school queen bee. Zanne Devine and Gluck are producing.

Bynes may have had no problem showing off the new man inside the Maxim bash, but she walked the carpet alone.

Once inside, they only came up for air once, when a couple of male fans asked to take photos with Bynes. She happily posed while mystery-man dude snapped the pics.

Bynes most recently dated Doug Reinhardt for about month before calling it quits in January. As everyone knows by now, Reinhardt wasted no time moving into the arms of Paris Hilton.

While Reinhardt may be a good-looking guy and all, we did get an up-close look at the new babe, and we’ve gotta say he surely gives Bynes’ ex a run for his money in the sexy department.

In more score-one-more-for-Paris news, Doug Reinhart’s old flame, Amanda Bynes, was recently shut out of LA hotspot H’Wood, according to The New York Post’s Page Six. Apparently, sometimes “Hills” star Frankie Delgado was working as a doorman for the club and didn’t want his pal Doug to have a run in with Amanda, so he made sure she didn’t cross velvet rope. Sad news for Amanda, but at least we know Frankie has a job besides being Brody Jenner’s wingman!
